Vehicle Description

1972 Jensen Interceptor III

We list a lot of different vehicles and occasionally one comes in that most have never heard of. This Jensen Interceptor III is one of those. These cars were produced from 1966 to 1976 and were known for their Italian styling combined with American muscle. They were hand built in West Bromwich, England and the bodies were initially designed by the Carrozzeria Touring firm out of Italy before being brought in-house. Around 6,408 were made in total with around 1,047 being done in 1972 alone. That makes it quite the rare and unique car. This 1972 belongs to a private collection where it was fully restored and totally gone through. The Tangerine Orange paint has a nice finish and it was fully repainted. It has a brand new windshield and all of glass is in good condition including the iconic wrap around rear glass that acts as the top of the rear hatch. It has nice front and rear chrome bumpers along with a horizontal grill. These had very cool double headlights with Black bezels and the lights all work properly. All over the car you will find various "Jensen" and "Interceptor" emblems and medallions which are all there. The car rides on its original 15 inch 5 spoke wheels with new Yokohama tires.

The styling is Italian but the mechanics are all muscle. The reached out to Chrysler for the drive train components so this car features a fully rebuilt 383ci V8 motor. Under the forward lifting hood the car is extremely clean and worthy of being shown off. The engineering that went into the mechanics of these cars is incredible and something to be marveled at. It has Jensen valve covers, and Edelbrock Performer 383 intake, Weber 4 barrel carburetor and a Black double snorkel air cleaner. It runs extremely well and offers all the power you could ask for. AC is in place and it also has power steering and power brakes. Those brakes are all new and are all discs. Paired with the motor is a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and was totally rebuilt as well. The car sounds great and it has all new stainless steel exhaust. Electrical problems are no concern as the wiring has been completely gone through.

The Tan leather interior has all been redone in factory style. It has dual bucket seats in both front/rear and the upholstery is in excellent condition. The car has a full length console that stretches the entire length of the interior. On the front portion is wood trim, the shifter, power window controls, AC controls, a new stereo and switches for all your light controls, etc. The new stereo is from Jensen and features a back up camera, SDX Pro Audio sub, and JL Audio 4 channel amp.

This is an incredibly unique classic and not only is it rare but you rarely see them up for sale. Add it to your collection while its still available.

Give this rare car a new home for $55,500.00!
